Job description:
Summary
The AOG Technician works directly with the AOG Lead Technicians to
ensure AOG and RON aircraft are supported at John Wayne Airport
(KSNA). This position is responsible for performing all maintenance
projects assigned to them while ensuring their work is meeting the
highest quality standards. These activities must be done while
maintaining a positive and productive relationship with ACI Jet’s
employees, vendors and clients.
Reports To
The AOG Technician - KSNA reports directly to the AOG Lead
Technician they’re assigned to.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned as required by
management):
• Reports daily to the AOG Lead Technician they’re assigned to work
with.
• Completing tasks assigned to himself / herself in accordance with
the procedures set forth in ACI Jet’s Air Carrier Operations Manual
(ACOM).
• Coordinate with the AOG Lead Technicians and ACI Jet customers
to ensure a safe and efficient repair and return to service of AOG aircraft.
• Comply with all FAR’s, Operations Specifications, Company
Policies, and Company Procedures.
• Ensuring that the appropriate technical data is used during the
performance of maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration
activities.
• Ensures the shop premises, AOG vehicles and work areas are
maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
• Must follow airport, TSA and DOT requirements for operating a
motor vehicle.
• Ensure that all maintenance or alterations processes are
appropriately completed and documented as required by the operator
and in accordance with the applicable FAR’s.
• Submits all required work orders, reports, receipts, time cards and
other company forms and records to the AOG Lead Technician in a
timely and organized manner.
• Maintains a close, productive, and beneficial relationship with ACI
Jet managers, peers, colleagues, manufacturer’s representatives, and
other repair facilities.
• Ensures the safety and quality of all assigned duties and
responsibilities by actively and positively participating in ACI Jet’s SQMS
program.




Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Required
• A passion for aviation.
• 2-5 years of experience as an A&P mechanic
• Multiple corporate aircraft type experience (Citation, Challenger,
Gulfstream, Phenom, Global, Hawker, Falcon, Lear, etc.)
• Piston aircraft experience (Cessna Single Engine up through 400
series twins, Beechcraft single and twin, Piper single and twin, Cirrus
(Big Plus), Continental Engines, Lycoming Engines.)
• Turbo Prop experience (King Air, Caravan, Turbo Commander,
Merlin, Metroliner, MU-2, and PT-6 engines)
• Actual work experience must include troubleshooting, use of
specialized tools, ground support equipment, and the use of aircraft
maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, technical reports and forms.
• Professional appearance
• Troubleshooting skills and an ability to problem solve
• Critical time management and logistical problem solving skills
• Attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality of work
• On call and after hours support is required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid A&P License.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high stress, fast paced
environment.
• Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance.
• Must be a highly motivated, detail oriented, organized, with the
ability to multi-task.
• Must be computer proficient (MS Office, Aviation Maintenance
Software).
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, kneel, squat, and stand for
extended periods.
• Must have your own tools and toolbox. (basic hand tools)
• Must be available to be on call.
• Be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
including the ability to read, write, and speak English at an advanced
level.
• Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United
States.




Highly Desirable
• Formal Gulfstream, Cessna, Dassault, Beechcraft and Bombardier
factory training

This position is a DOT Safety Sensitive position which will require
placement in a random drug test pool.
